Ecclesiastes 3 Journaling

I just got my new journaling Bible in the mail and am having fun with it. I am in charge of a home school cooperative and we start the day with a devotion that ties into a science experiment later in the day. The verses this week were Ecclesiastes 2-3, and as I was reading the verses, it made me think of how things do not always go well for us even if we are Christians. We live in a sinful world and bad things are going to happen because of that. Sometimes God intervenes and allows the good instead, but sometimes he doesn't. I also thought about the story of Nate Saint that my 8 year old and I just read about how the 5 missionaries were speared by the people they were trying to help and about how out of that tragedy, hundreds of young people became missionaries to replace the fallen 5 and about how Jim Elliot's wife and Nate Saint's sister went back to the people who killed Jim and Nate 2 years later and became missionaries to them, and how 7 of the 10 people who killed the missionaries along with nearly their entire village became Christians as a result. God brought something beautiful out of a horrible event.

I wanted to record my thoughts about all of this in my Bible, so this is what I ended up with. For my first page, I really like how it turned out!
